As in Paris, here in Florence we have our “rive gauche”, known as Oltrarno, which can be reached by crossing Ponte Vecchio from where you can reach the south side of the river with its many bars, churches, museums, parks and workshops that deserve to be seen. In addition to its extraordinary historical treasures, the Oltrarno has another advantage: it is far from the busy central districts of Florence. This means finding an area full of artisan shops that show off centuries-old traditions and crafts, not to mention the many antique shops, cosy bars and small family-run restaurants. Nearby is Parri’s leather goods shop, a colorful world of bags, belts and accessories to visit. Of course, you go hunting and need a break. The ideal place to enjoy it is certainly Le Bistrot Ristorante a Villa Cora, open every day for lunch and dinner which, set up in summer by the pool, allows you to enjoy the beauty of the park. Do not miss the Sunday brunch in winter with a rich buffet and many culinary specialties offered by our Executive Chef Alessandro Liberatore will be at your disposal in the beautiful common areas. All accompanied by live music, watching football matches and entertainment for children. The Pool Bar by the pool is the place where you can enjoy delicious drinks and cocktails, while the relax is surrounded by lush gardens. A great place to appreciate the Florence above is Forte Belvedere, usually open from May until the beginning of October. The fort is actually a constantly changing outdoor art exhibition space, ideal for art and sculpture lovers. Finally, while cycling up the San Giorgio coast, you will also come across the beautiful Villa Bardini, home to permanent temporary art exhibitions and a beautiful garden with a postcard view of Florence.
IL TUO GIORNO PERFETTO
Come a Parigi, anche qui a Firenze abbiamo la nostra “rive gauche”, conosciuta come Oltrarno, raggiungibile attraversando Ponte Vecchio da dove, poi, si raggiunge il lato sud del fiume con i suoi numerosi bar, chiese, musei, parchi e laboratori che meritano di essere visti. Oltre ai suoi straordinari tesori storici, l’Oltrarno ha un altro vantaggio: è lontano dai trafficati quartieri centrali di Firenze. Ciò significa trovare una zona ricca di botteghe artigiane che sfoggiano tradizioni e mestieri secolari, per non parlare dei numerosi negozi di antiquariato, dei bar accoglienti e dei piccoli ristoranti a conduzione familiare. Lì vicino si trova la pelletteria di Parri, un colorato mondo di borse, cinture e accessori tutta da visitare. Naturalmente, si va a caccia e si ha bisogno di una pausa. Il luogo ideale per godersela è sicuramente Le Bistrot Ristorante a Villa Cora, aperto tutti i giorni a pranzo e a cena che, allestito in estate a bordo piscina, permette di godere delle bellezze del parco. Da non perdere il brunch domenicale in inverno con un ricco buffet e tante specialità culinarie proposte dal nostro Executive Chef Alessandro Liberatore sarà a vostra disposizione nelle splendide aree comuni. Il tutto accompagnato da musica dal vivo, la visione delle partite del campionato di calcio e intrattenimento per bambini. Le Pool Bar a bordo piscina è il luogo dove si consumare deliziosi drink e cocktail, mentre la relaxina è circondata da rigogliosi giardini. Un ottimo punto per apprezzare la Firenze soprastante è il Forte Belvedere, solitamente aperto da maggio fino all’inizio di ottobre. Il forte è in realtà uno spazio espositivo d’arte all’aperto che cambia continuamente, ideale per gli amanti dell’arte e della scultura. Infine, mentre si sale in bicicletta sulla costa San Giorgio, si incontra anche la bellissima Villa Bardini, sede di mostre d’arte temporanee permanenti e di un bel giardino con vista da cartolina su Firenze.
